Advocate-General opinion highlights differences between law firm and in-house lawyers
Professional legal privilege is an issue that divides lawyers across Europe. While in-house lawyers in southern Europe, including Spain, have to give up membership of the national Bar or Law Society once they join an in-house department, this is not the case elsewhere. Across the north of Europe, in-house lawyers remain members of the national Bar and subject to the rights and obligations this represents. |
